Human-centered design for advanced services: A multidimensional design methodology

چکیده

Advanced services have caught the attention of industries and academics as a way to exploit new customer value propositions. However, existing design methodologies for advanced are limited partially addressing one or some key elements, hence causing confusion in practice. Moreover, human factors not often addressed, even though requires human-centered thinking. Aiming advance body research, current study aims conceptually propose multidimensional methodology called DIMAND that captures elements their relations single-view structure accordance with human-centric approach. Specifically, encapsulates (i) life-cycle service interrelated other elements—(ii) stakeholder networks, (iii) development methods, (iv) skills—that must be considered develop effective design. Based on hybrid research design, was developed through systematic reviews structured analysis methodologies, well an elicitation expert knowledge domain analytical hierarchy process (AHP). For validation, average usability score evaluated by 26 practitioners 72.2, which falls into “excellence” simplified system scale (SUS), confirming its potential utility. As result, offers novel holistic guideline engineers obtain coherence all processes simultaneously taking these account, making more practical.

Human-Centered Design for Development

This paper describes the challenges faced in ICTD by reviewing the lessons learned from a project geared at improving the livelihood of marginal farmers in India through wireless sensor networks. Insufficient user participation, lack of attention to user needs, and a primary focus on technology in the design process led to unconvinced target users who were not interested in the new technology. ...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
